For those who want to explore occupations in a systematic or organized manner, you might want to check out the U.S. Government's O*Net, a searchable, occupation database. You can visit and access the database at http://www.online.onetcenter.org.

For those who may need or want to learn a little more about yourselves, you might to exploer Texas OSCAR. Just ignore the initial, rather immature interface - the assessments are here first-rate. I recommend that you take the FULL FLIGHT. It includes The Interest Profiler (an inventory designed to help you identify and learn about your occupational interests) and the Work Importance Locator (a card sort that helps you prioritize your values). After you complete these, you might want to save your results and discuss them with someone at A&M-Commerce Career Services.
Do you find this valuable?
